NACDS Letter to Stakeholders, June 17, 2022 - Letter from NACDS regarding conversation with DEA in which the DEA stated C2 prescriptions must have all legally required prescription items (ex. add address of patient), otherwise the pharmacy will need to request a new prescription. To date, the DEA has not formally clarified its position on this matter.  At the August 8, 2022 Indiana Board of Pharmacy, an audience member asked whether pharmacists could write the Indiana license number of the prescriber on a prescription without requesting a new prescription.  The Board demurred a response at that time. 


Pharmacy-Based Medication Administration Services Summit- December 14, 2021- NASPA and APhA together convened a virtual summit to address some of the issues, barriers, challenges, and opportunities for MAS. In this report, the current landscapes, outcomes, and breakout discussion insights from the summit are included. There is an overview of state scope of practice related to pharmacy-MAS and available resources that support this type of MAS implementation and related payment models.
