What is Legislative Day?
Legislative Day is an advocacy event that allows pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians to meet and educate legislators about the value of pharmacy services. This event provides you with an opportunity to connect with legislators and colleagues from across the state at the Statehouse. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard and advocate for issues impacting the profession. Registrants will receive information prior to the event on key bills and priorities.

LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES 2025
Pharmacy Access and Dispensing Reimbursement
-
Requires fair reimbursement for pharmacy dispensing and prohibits limiting patient choice by steering to PBM-affiliated pharmacies.

Pharmacist reimbursement for Services allows for pharmacists to be reimbursed for clinical services that other practitioners can also perform and be reimbursed for.

Test & Treat allows pharmacists to prescribe and provide care for conditions that do not require a new diagnosis and are self-limiting.
Ashleigh’s Law
-
Pharmacy workplace improvement.

Improve patient safety by limiting workplace fatigue.
Immunization Language
-
Allows pharmacists to dispense and administer any approved vaccine and remove age restrictions for vaccination administration.
Technician Advancement
-
Nationally certified and trained pharmacy technicians could complete final product verification and receive oral prescriptions at the pharmacist’s discretion.
MPJE Update
-
Remove MPJE requirement for new pharmacists.

Requires out-of-state applicants toc omplete Board-approved Indiana law review.
The "Practice of Pharmacy" Update

Allows pharmacists to practice at the top of their training, education, and skills.
